Sarah is an experienced and innovative researcher. She creatively engages people in research projects, making the process challenging and enjoyable for participants. She has a unique ability to bring individual voices together to tell a powerful collective story.
 
Sarah has written numerous publications including academic articles, community articles, government reports and frequently writes letters and opinion pieces for newspapers. "A lifelong journey: staying well with manic depression/bipolar disorder" is her first book. In her spare time she writes travel pieces.

Giuliana Fuscaldo
PhD, MBioeth, Bsc(Hons)
 
Giuliana began her working life as a high school science teacher, and then worked as clinical scientist and researcher in a Melbourne IVF clinic. Giuliana became interested in bioethics through her work in assisted reproductive technologies. She completed a Master of Bioethics at Monash and went on to complete a PhD at the University of Melbourne. Her thesis "Genetic ties: are they morally binding?" is an in-depth analysis of ethical issues arising from advances in reproductive technologies.
 
Giuliana has a part time position as a lecturer in health ethics at the Centre for Health and Society, University of Melbourne. She is a member of several ethics committees and review panels and brings to Research Matters a commitment to ethical research processes and facilitating good research. Giuliana and Sarah discuss ethical issues while boating on Metung Lakes or walking on Mt Martha beach. These discussions often result in controversial newspaper opinion pieces.

Margie Nunn
BA (Hons)
 
Margie Nunn has worked as a writer and performer for TV, radio and the media for over 15 years. She now juggles part-time work with bringing up three young boys, Harry, Arthur and George.
 
Margie worked as a crisis telephone counsellor at Lifeline. Her work now involves training Lifeline volunteers and employees of other organisations such as State Trustees regarding mental health. Margie also gives presentations to corporations as part of SANE Australia's public speaking program.

Wendy Ealey
 
Wendy began her working life as a horticultural tradesman. Then life took some surprising turns and Wendy moved from nursery work to graphics and design. Wendy’s varied career also includes singing and stand up comedy. She brings her musical, comedic and graphic design talents to Research Matters.

Jan Browne
PhD, MN, BN (Hons), RN
 
Jan has spent many years talking with people about personal and sensitive issues. She has extensive experience in a range of qualitative research methods. Her specialty is in-depth interviews and grounded theory analysis.
 
Jan is currently working at the Centre for Maori Health Research at Aukland University of Technology.
